What is your decision?

Arsene Wenger shock announcement to quit as manager of the Arsenal Football Club at the end of the 2017/2018 English Premier League season has left nothing but mixed feelings for me as an ardent supporter of the club. This is not part of the story but just pouring out my feelings for a man I have come to respect over the years irrespective of the clubs recent run of results and the fans demand for a change!

These past two weeks, I decided to do something new, I decided to take a risk,  you see, sometimes you just have to close your eyes and make some certain decisions irrespective of  the challenges that may result from it. One truth I have come to agree with is challenges being a part of our every day life. Its constant! So either you make that decision or not, its ever present! The question is what decision do you have to make? What are the pros and the cons? You must note, no decision comes easy and a conclusion is not reached in one day. As for me, I struggled with mine, days upon days and nights upon nights of consideration, doubts and fears confronted me like a sailor in the midst of a raging storm who must but guide the ship to safety.

Engaging in something new requires a lot of courage, as we grow older we stick to some certain ideologies we have gotten accustomed too, we become too rigid in accepting and adapting to new ideas, we put up reasons why those brilliant new ideas cannot work, its not tested or proven to bring in the desired results. I used  Arsene Wenger as a case study for what happens to an individual who refuses to accept or adapt to change. All he needed to do was to understand that his footballing philosophy is outdated. The arrival of Roman Abrahamovic, the Russian billionaire forever changed the transfer market in England. Now football clubs have to spend big to win big the EPL and the Champions league. The game has changed!

Beyond football and tactics, by the way, I love watching football, (lols). But its not limited to it alone, it does cuts across every aspect of our lives like career, family, finance, health, social and many more. What decisions are you lingering on in these areas of your life? How does one know which will be right? What are the challenges to come after making it? Am I prepared to face it? These and many more thoughts will cloud your thoughts, but like me, I believe you will find peace at the end of the day when you make that crucial and beneficial decision. So I counsel, the earlier the better. Like me am facing the challenges that came with my decision but at least I found peace! I have no regrets but instead am charged like a horse running to battle at the blast of the trumpet. Am a step closer to achieving a goal. These kind of decisions make an impact in your life forever and you do know it!

In conclusion, I encourage you to make that decision! Will you?

My story

My name is Olugbenga Falusi and welcome to my blog. Many times in life what you are actually looking for is right under your nose. You search the depths and find nothing, your soul becomes restless seeking expression. I'm sure that resonates with a lot of us! What you need at such moments are people who see your talents and skills and can point to you the direction to go. They may have to push you, follow up to ensure the beauty they see in you is fully manifested not just for them but more for the benefit of the world. My story: Right from when I was a kid, the art got a better  part of me. I wanted to know how to draw but to my own amazement, I could not even draw an orange, I struggled over the years to be someone else, my primary school classmates were so good at making comics and I would buy from them using my lunch money. I cared less about getting food to eat, I wouldn't let go though I accepted my fate. One day, somewhere, life situation did hit me and that sp

How RCCG City of David Abuja moved and celebrated their thanksgiving service at Utako, Abuja

Iya Alakara

Iya Alakara (The Beans Cake Seller) We call her Iya Alakara (Beans cake seller) because her akara is the best, though she sells other fried foods. Akara is a popular delicacy eaten in Nigeria , it is made from grinding beans,  then mixed with various sauce ingredients and then shaped in the form of a ball before being fried in either a hot palm or vegetable oil. It is eaten with variety of other foods like fried yam, pap and even bread for a proper balance diet. Her spot cannot be mistaken, it is strategically located for commuters and passers-by to easily spot. Walking through my street about three nights ago, I thought hard on my next content for the blog.  Only a hot akara and pap would do at the moment; the thought of cooking would have been  a mission impossible. I have had enough for the day.  So here I was, readily seated right in front of her,  the little smoke emanating from the firewood was not enough to deter me from satisfying  my crave for akara. In no
