How RCCG City of David Abuja moved and celebrated their thanksgiving service at Utako, Abuja

The call to ministry is not really what is accepted with pomp and pageantry rather it is a moment of sober reflection and preparation for greater responsibility to God and humanity. It is a never-ending journey with a determination not to quit.

The story of RCCG City of David Abuja has been that of purpose and determination as they achieved a remarkable height on January 12, 2020, at thanksgiving and at their new tabernacle located at Plot 362 Blooming Hills International Academy, Augustus Aikhomu Way, Beside Aneio Hotel Utako to the glory of God.

Present at this significant milestone was Pst. Gbolade Okenla (PIC RCCG COD Abuja), Pst. Oghogho Anyaru (PIC RCCG LP 4 Victoria Island), Pst. Pat-Akem Vingir (PIC Jesus House, Abuja ) and Pst. Sola Olowokere (PIC  RCCG Strongtower, Baltimore)

The atmosphere on Sunday was enough to drown uninvited voices of fear and worry. It was filled with high praise and thanksgiving to God most importantly for His faithfulness towards the provision and completion of the newly built tabernacle.

The Pastor in Charge Pastor Agbolade Okenla was full of praise and thanksgiving to God, Pastor Oghogho Anyaru (Pst. LP4 Victoria Island) charged the congregation to build their trust in God. Noting God can do the impossible illustrating the story of Abraham and his faith in God for the promised child.

My story

My name is Olugbenga Falusi and welcome to my blog. Many times in life what you are actually looking for is right under your nose. You search the depths and find nothing, your soul becomes restless seeking expression. I'm sure that resonates with a lot of us! What you need at such moments are people who see your talents and skills and can point to you the direction to go. They may have to push you, follow up to ensure the beauty they see in you is fully manifested not just for them but more for the benefit of the world. My story: Right from when I was a kid, the art got a better  part of me. I wanted to know how to draw but to my own amazement, I could not even draw an orange, I struggled over the years to be someone else, my primary school classmates were so good at making comics and I would buy from them using my lunch money. I cared less about getting food to eat, I wouldn't let go though I accepted my fate. One day, somewhere, life situation did hit me and that sp...

Between the Democrats and the Republican: Trump vs ?????

Credit: SKY News The race is on for the most powerful office in the world:  The Executive Office of the President| The White House, at the forthcoming elections in November in the United States of America. Previous elections have seen candidates battle it out via campaign promises, debates, fund raising and getting their platform nominations, and this year’s election will not differ except for the pre-debate before party presidential tickets. Who becomes the next US President is important to nations of the world, it is crucial to what happens in Russia-Ukraine war as leaders are closely monitoring the developments at the US polls. We have had a taste of the capabilities of both Donald Trump and President Biden, both have spent a term as PO...

The Market is Open

Presently, Nigeria consumes an average of 44.3 million litres of petrol per day as compared to 66.7 million litres before subsidy removal (source: NMDPRA). While the average cost of petrol in the world today is $1.31 US dollars (source: Global Petrol Prices), in Nigeria it is $0.503 (source: Global Petrol Prices). The official exchange rate is N1,469 to $1. A simple multiplication to that effect leaves the cost of petrol at N757 a litre in the global market while NNPC is selling at N617 leaving a difference of N140. I ask a question, is government still paying fuel subsidy?    Meeting the required local demands has been a long-term issue in the country and the declaration of subsidy removal by the Tinubu administration on May 29, 2023 hiked up the pump price of petrol astronomically with its ripple effects on delivery of goods and services and cost of food. The grand entrance of Aliko Dangote into the oil industry appears to be a source of relief to the Nigeria...
